Chapter 4: Intersection
Gently pulling the quilt up to cover her, he turned off the light and quietly walked out. As the entire room fell into darkness, Yin Lingyan, with her eyes closed, seemed to be on the verge of waking up.
She had been afraid of the dark since childhood, so she could only sleep with a dim desk lamp on when she was alone in the house to feel at peace.
Han Wuyu returned to the bedroom, took off his clothes that smelled of alcohol, and walked into the bathroom. The sound of water could be heard.
Yin Lingyan gradually woke up, “Where is this? How did I end up on the bed?”
She subconsciously thought Mu Qingran had brought her back. She walked out of the room and heard the sound of water from another room. Then, with her eyes closed, she staggered over, turned the bathroom door handle.
Feeling that the bathroom wasn’t locked, she couldn’t help but grumble, “Stupid girl, not closing the door when you’re showering.”
However, after speaking, she slowly opened her eyes and looked down from her upper body… A scream came without warning.
“Ah…”
Han Wuyu looked at her in surprise, then at his own body, cursing under his breath, “Damn it,” and quickly grabbed the bathrobe beside him and put it on.
Upon seeing this scene, Yin Lingyan covered her eyes with her hands and screamed uncontrollably.
“Shut up!” After putting on the bathrobe, the annoying woman’s screams continued, and he roared in annoyance.
The cold voice made Yin Lingyan shiver. She squinted, watching him put on his clothes before daring to open her eyes.
“You… you… who are you?” Facing such a beauty emerging from a bath, Yin Lingyan’s face turned red remembering the scene just now, and she started to stutter.
“I’d like to ask who you are. You directly stopped my car and refused to get out.”
“I… I…” Yin Lingyan tried hard to recall. She remembered stopping a car, but… wasn’t that a taxi?
She looked at Han Wuyu suspiciously. Han Wuyu saw the answer in her eyes, his expression growing colder. This was the first time he had saved someone and was met with suspicion. With a cold face, he walked out of the bathroom, took out his tablet computer, and began typing rapidly.
Yin Lingyan didn’t go out with him but tried hard to recall. She remembered seeing a taxi, then… a dark figure stopped, and then… she seemed to have opened the door and gotten in, and then… she woke up. Did she really get into the wrong car and wrongly accuse someone?
Yin Lingyan nervously walked out of the bathroom and saw him engrossed in typing. She then said haltingly, “Um… thank you… you.”
Han Wuyu didn’t speak, still typing away. Yin Lingyan fidgeted with her hands and finally mustered her courage, “I’m sorry to have disturbed you. I’ll leave immediately.”
Without waiting for his reply, she fled as if escaping. Only then did Han Wuyu look up at her hurried retreating figure, his brow furrowing slightly.
Then, his hands didn’t stop, but this time… it was clearly not as fast!
The sound stopped, followed by the sound of the computer being turned off…
Han Wuyu still decided to go and see. It was so late, where could she go? Moreover, where would there be any cars at this hour?
As expected, as soon as he stepped out, he saw Yin Lingyan hugging her arms, shivering from the cold, waiting for a car. Yin Lingyan just felt too cold to bear.
Han Wuyu strode over and picked her up. Yin Lingyan, suddenly lifted, hadn’t reacted yet. Upon seeing it was Han Wuyu, she immediately struggled to be put down.
“You’re heavy.” At this moment, Han Wuyu suddenly said this, successfully making Yin Lingyan stop struggling.
Then, without him seeing, she glared at him. She thought he didn’t know, but in reality, he just didn’t care.
